This book is in three parts: Part I is a general review of the coniferous order. It contains a brief description of the structure of the coniferous wood, the organs of vegetation and fructification, the sections, economic properties, dise; Part II contains a synopsis of Genera, species and varieties suitable for cultivation in Great Britain; Part III contains lists of the species and varieties suitable for different purpose for which coniferae are planted with some hints as to their treatment.
